Telluride Mountainfilm Stops In Melbourne For First Ever Tour
One of the longest-running and inspiring adventure film festivals in the world is taking a detour through Melbourne.
Adventure junkies take note: the Telluride Mountainfilm is heading to Australia and New Zealand for the first time ever.
The international film festival for adrenaline junkies will be stopping in Melbourne on March 9, screening at Melbourne Central before showing twice again on March 11 for afternoon and evening screenings at St Kilda’s Astor Theatre.
Held every year since 1979, this documentary film festival showcases nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues.
The inaugural Australian tour will focus on the best outdoor adventure films from the annual festival in Telluride, Colorado, USA. The event is one of the USA’s longest running film fests and will visit 15 locations across Australia and New Zealand throughout February-April 2017.
Over the years, in and out of trends and fads, this event has always been best described by one unchanging word: inspiring. To see a sneak preview, check out the video above.
Tickets can be purchased online here. Tickets are $31 per adult and $25 per concession – booking fees will apply, dependent on venue.
