Bespoke Botanics: Bringing Flowers To The People
Angela Zegir tells us why she quit management to open up her own floral studio.
For Angela Zegir, it wasn’t a surprise that she would one day wind up working with flowers. Both her parents were avid gardeners and her most vivid childhood memories include walking through her grandpa’s garden and admiring his blooming creations.
When it came to eventually pursuing a career, Angela was naturally drawn to the aesthetic industries – having recently left behind five years working with premium skin care brand Aesop to pursue her passion for floristry.
‘I wanted to set up a business which made flowers more accessible and a regular part of more people’s week,’ says Angela. After leaving her management role, she seized the opportunity to do something different and completed a course with Bloom College before establishing her own floral studio, Bespoke Botanics, in Bayside Melbourne.
Bespoke Botanics is inspired by art, design and current floral trends to create flower arrangements and bouquets that are as visually captivating as they are fragrant, bringing a sense of sophistication to any home or office. Part of its services include a dedicated flower delivery subscription service, allowing Melbournians to have freshly-cut flowers delivered to them (or a loved one) as a surprise or treat.
Prices range from the affordable (prices start at $140 for a month’s worth of blooms) to the more extravagant year round deliveries for that special someone. Each subscription instalment will feature a different designer bouquet, with flower arrangements shuffled to maintain quality and variety. One day subscribers might receive gentle pink peonies. Then next moment, fluffy pom-pom viburnums might arrive to liven up the day.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’re giving one lucky reader a month-long flower subscription from Bespoke Botanics valued at $140. You can choose to have flowers delivered to you or gift it to that special someone. *wink* *wink*
